Pupil Premium Reviews
The Pupil Premium is a sum of money provided by the Government to all publicly funded schools, to support the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap in educational attainment between them and their peers.
The DfE advises that school's have the choice to commission a Pupil Premium Review at any time, and should do so as a way if quality assuring their current Pupil Premium strategy to identify ways if improving it further.
If Ofsted raise a concern about the attainment of disadvantage pupils in its inspection findings, or a school is subject to a Section 5 inspection, they will recommend that a Pupil Premium Review is carried out.
