We have worked closely with The Philosophy Foundation for a number of years developing philosophical and critical thinking opportunities for staff and pupils from EYFS to Year Six. This has enabled pupils to develop their speaking and listening skills across the curriculum and given some of our teachers the chance to acquire their Associate Teacher status through The Philosophy Foundation.

We run our School Direct programme in collaboration with London South Bank University, and we also provide placements for a number of their post-graduate and under-graduate students each year. In addition, we run school-based enrichment workshops which allow students to receive practical training sessions from our Lead Practitioners within a primary school setting.

Andrea has over ten year's experience as a speech and language therapist and has worked closely with staff and pupils at GHF for many of these. Through Andrea's work, we are able to offer her Chatterbugs programme - a 12-week early years’ communication programme, delivered by trained teaching assistants to children in our EYFS.
Through our Teaching School, we are now also able to offer training sessions to implement the Chatterbugs Programme in your own school. You can find out more here.

We follow the Destination Reader and Daily Supported Reading initiative in all of our alliance schools. We also hold Destination Reader Hub status, and Daily Supported Reading Hub status. This enables us to showcase this innovative reading strategy to colleagues from other schools, and share the expertise our staff have acquired through engaging with the programme.
